Chicka Boom

Dear Ben & Dan,

You are in love with the book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. It's all about letters and their race up and down a coconut tree. Aunt Christine gave it to you then I realized we own a video of it from your Classic Storybook Collection DVD set. Then we found the same video plus many others on YouTube. We have read & watched countless times by now.

I made you a coconut tree for the fridge and you play with your alphabet magnets.

We borrowed the large version of the book from the library and one of you accidentally ripped out the back page and guess what? Now we own the book! The librarian made Mommy pay for it ($8!) and was kinda annoyed that she "couldn't possibly put this back in circulation" at the library. She was really grumpy, boys. Mommy tried not to laugh at the counter.

Anyway, this sure is a good little book. You have known your letters for a long time now but this book has sparked interest in combining letters and...you already know how to spell about a dozen words!
